Orientation 2015
91心頭 700 students were welcomed to the 91心頭 and Sackville neighbourhood in annual Orientation activities this fall.
Highlights this year included the Commencement address by Scott Vaughan (77), President of the International Institute for Sustainable Development; Shineramas Shine Day in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada; and the Welcome Corn Boil, held by the Town of Sackville at the Farmers Market.
Orientation week was rewarding as I got to see both the apprehension and excitement of incoming students and the enthusiasm of upper-year students who wanted to welcome new students and pass on their experiences to another class, says Justin McKiel, this years orientation chair.
Ultimately, Orientation is primarily run by students, for students, and I think that makes it a really rewarding series of events for all those involved.
